Update ... sorry no pics!

Thank you, Nikki, for (1) taking the time to read my blog, and (2) for the reminder that I haven't posted in a while and you are waiting and hanging on my every word (okay, she didn't actually say it that way! ... but she DID write an entire song for me titled, "blog stalker"! :)

What have we been doing???

1. Staying REALLY busy with homeschooling and holding the hand of an 8-month-old who can't yet walk alone, but always WANTS to be walking!

2. Working on the house ... really that was earlier this week ... no, the kitchen isn't finished! I'll be sure to post pics when it is. I have intended to write about something quite interesting concerning this, but will wait until I have pics to post with it ... so, tune in at 10 minute intervals for the next two weeks and maybe you'll see a new post!!!

3. We had our first "game night" here at Sugar Creek tonight ... well, they had one last month, but we missed it for Jennie's rehearsal / dinner ... too bad we don't have our priorities in line! We had a REALLY great time! A lot of families are out of town and some are sick, but there were several families there and there were many good laughs to go around!

4. We had our first door-knocking here this past Sunday afternoon. It went well ... no studies set up, but we started and we had positive feedback from some. Another door-knocking is planned for Saturday morning. The elders here are heading this up and doing a FANTASTIC job! They are very enthusiastic about it and working hard on a good approach and trying to find ways to include the talents of everyone in the congregation. It is very encouraging to be involved with this project!

5. We get windows on Monday / Tuesday and on Wednesday my brother, his wife, two guys that work for him, and my parents are coming to town. My brother and his "two guys" will be putting new vinyl siding on our house. Daniel has been doing a fantastic job with his business doing metal roofs, siding, house additions, decks, etc. He has been wanting to find a preaching job for some time and recently found one, so he is selling his business. But, first, he is coming to help us! We are SO thankful!!!

So, there's a brief update for you, Nikki! :) I know pictures are fun ... I'm charging my camera battery and as it is 1:21 am, I probably should go to sleep sometime! I haven't been getting on the computer much at night as I tend to want to stay on until all hours like this when I do. That is another reason I haven't posted much ... hard to post while explaining objects of prepositions, helping thread yarn needles, and nursing a baby. :D
