Jeremiah is learning to stand, which is very exciting. The difficult aspect is that he is in that stage where he wants to always be standing, yet he will invariably at some point do a complete body slam on the floor ... traumatic! But, he is quite determined and learning!

We are in the middle of the kitchen floor job ... which has turned out to be a much bigger task than we anticipated. We decided to pull up the floor in that back little nook room as well and level it out (it slopes down about 3" to the back ... I think it used to be a porch). Here we are down to the hard wood which Troy desperately wanted to refinish, but it would be quite a task to say the least. So, we are planning to pull out the hardwood out of the back room (our school room), level it out, and put down a new subfloor and linoleum. Hopefully we'll get that done pretty soon, now. Troy (tonight ... 11:00 pm) is working on the floor by himself as Jeremiah would put up with NO more! :)

Thursday afternoon, we took a field trip to the Kansas City Zoo for about an hour. We recently purchased a membership, so it is nice to know that we can stop in for a short visit now and then. The girls enjoyed feeding the Fallow Deer ...

It was a short, but enjoyable outing!
