Our "New" Bunny Bungalow

On Friday, March 1, we closed on our new house!  Everyone is excited and looking forward to making it ours.  It is a mobile home on 10 acres.  We're so excited to have the opportunity to have more space outside for the kids, especially.

Troy has already been at work on what he can do on it.  The locks were changed on the first day and he has been over there several times since as well.  We have been unable to get the electricity turned on, yet, so it is a little cold.  We did all go as a family for one day, but didn't stay really long.  The kids were excited to help with some dusting and Tabitha even played with a toy very peacefully on a rug for quite a while.

Just passing along our new project and a few pictures!

Here is the response from the kids when we drove up (wish I had videoed them!).  They knew we were "working" on getting a house, but did not this time know which one as we didn't want to disappoint them if it fell through.  They were so surprised and excited!

The road to the house was not plowed, so we tromped through the snow to visit it with the kids the first time.  However, Troy did call some one to come and plow it for us.  By now, most of the snow has melted, but last Friday, we still had quite a bit.

Troy took us out to Cracker Barrel to celebrate!

Here are a few more pictures ...

This is Tabitha on the floor at the new house playing so sweetly (with her cold, little pink nose!).

The title of this post comes from a children's book that I just love, called Bunny Bungalow (By: Cynthia Rylant).  In this book, the bunny family finds a new home and they "make it all their own," including painting it green, making little quilts for little bunny beds, and a rocking chair perfect for bunny naps.  We got this book and read it to the kids our first night in our current house.  Now, we have a new "bunny bungalow" to make all our own!
