The Pre-Wedding Festivities ...

The festivities began (as I chronicle them here) on Friday with the Dress Rehearsal. We gathered at the church building in Lovelady around 5:00 pm. Jennie and Tim were VERY organized. There was even a separate print out for each family of instructions ... our print out (for example) had all four of our names highlighted in a different color every time they appeared in the order of events! :) She did this for each family. So, the rehearsal (of course) flowed very smoothly. Then, we all traveled to Crockett for the Rehearsal Dinner. The dinner was held at the historic Monroe-Cook House and was beautiful, delicious, and enjoyed by all. On Saturday, there was a men's breakfast (sorry ... I have no pictures of this event on my camera!) and the girls gathered for a nail painting session ... by the bride. I don't have wedding pictures on my camera as Jeremiah was demanding my time right before and after the ceremony. However, as he napped for almost all of the reception, I do have some pictures from that time. Look for those in a post to come soon. Here are a few ...

This is the beautiful tree that Jennie made for the backdrop for the wedding. She drew and designed it as well as cut it out of a board with a jigsaw. Then, she put it onto the backdrop. She did an amazing job!

Rachel and Daniel Lockwood flew in from California for the wedding. Rachel took the pictures (I can't wait to see them!) and Daniel was the Best Man in the wedding.

This is a picture of the kids table at the rehearsal dinner. It was such a thoughtful touch. The lady in the background was Jennie's first grade teacher and she is on the board at the Monroe-Cook House. She hosted the kids table and completely took care of it for us ... serving them their drinks and whatever they needed. The kids menu was perfect ... Happy Meals from McDonalds!!

  1. I *love* that tree thing! I cannot believe she made that herself. She could make tons of money selling those...!
