Yesterday, Jeremiah did something new ... I was out of sight and came to check on him and found he had pulled himself up to a standing position!!! I found him this way TWICE! He hasn't been really reliable about holding on for long periods when standing without falling over, so I don't leave him standing next to something (although he stands up a LOT when I am with him). He is not yet crawling ... although he can push with his feet to move a short distance for a toy he really wants. It was a nice surprise! Kids really do learn so quickly!
Today, we started back to homeschooling after our LONG break for Jennie and Tim's wedding. It was a very busy, but good day. Troy will be teaching Abigail's Botany this year! He gave her a reading assignment in the textbook today ... read the first 6 pages and then answer the questions at the end. I gave her two sheets of notebook paper to answer her questions on. She decided that the other paper would be good for taking notes, so she took about a half page of notes over what she read besides answering the review questions! :) She wrote neatly (something we have struggled with) and did more than she was asked to do ... I was so pleased with her efforts!
Elizabeth is really enjoying her math and is doing well with her writing as well.
Troy got to get back to his Tuesday night basketball tonight ... he really enjoyed that. Three of the teenagers, and one adult from the congregation here met him to play.
We're doing some things to the house ... mostly figuring out if we want windows, etc. But, Troy has been doing plumbing work ... and we now have water, too! So, it is exciting that we could move into it as it is if we wanted to.
Busy, good times here! :)
