Falling WAY behind on updates!

If anyone is still checking the blog after my delinquency ... just thought I'd update. :)

1. We are in the process of buying a house!! It is a HUD house and yet a cute little house. We're excited about it. We don't yet have a closing date, but we did win the bid!

2. We are getting settled with the congregation here. The congregation is very busy right now with lots of good things going on. Last weekend, we had our "Home Grown Lectureship" ... all speakers were members of the congregation here. Each of the elders and deacons spoke as well as a senior in high school! They did very well! It was very encouraging! We're also working on starting a new evangelism plan and we're all learning a chain method of teaching the Bible.

3. We're looking forward to traveling back to Texas for Tim and Jennie's wedding! The girls are excited about wearing their pretty flower girl dresses. We're so happy for the new happy family!

4. Jeremiah is quite a squirmer ... he sits well (though does nose dive at times), still LOVES baths, likes to stand up, really loves to smile at people behind us as we prepare to start worship (he'd rather do this all through worship and it is a challenge to keep him from turning around and distracting the whole congregation with his contageous smile!).

5. Abigail and Elizabeth and I began home schooling this week. It is going well and though challenging (esp. with an infant), is overall a lot of fun.

6. The picture is of all five of us at Burr Oak Nature Center in Blue Springs, Missouri. We had a fun morning there on Monday with one of the elders and his wife (who took the picture).
